Team Falcons have once again cemented their place atop the Esports World Cup (EWC) landscape by claiming the 2025 Club Championship — their second consecutive title. Competing across 18 of the 22 esports titles featured in Riyadh, the Saudi Arabian organisation showcased unmatched versatility and consistent excellence throughout the multi-week tournament.
As of Week 7, Team Falcons had amassed a staggering 4,700 points, putting them 500 points ahead of Team Liquid (4,200) and well ahead of Team Vitality in third place (3,750). Their commanding lead not only secured the championship before the final week but also made them mathematically untouchable, officially clinching the title.
One of the defining moments of EWC 2025 came in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2), where Team Falcons delivered a stunning upset over G2 Esports. They dominated the Round of 16 with 13-9 and 13-7 wins over Ancient and Train. Standouts NiKo (40 kills) and m0NESY (33 kills) powered the effort, rewarding their team with a vital 200 championship points and shattering the expectations of contenders.
Although they didn’t always grab first place, Team Falcons’ ability to consistently rank high, especially securing third place in Rocket League and PUBG finals, which kept their club championship point tally ahead of the pack. Their strategy of depth across titles, not just stacking wins in one discipline, proved invaluable. The EWC Club Championship system rewards organisations based on placements across multiple games, and Falcons managed to maximise the structure to perfection.
A crucial advantage for Team Falcons is their infrastructure and broad reach. With the resources to field competitive teams in nearly all major titles, they instantly outpaced rivals. Unlike smaller organisations, Falcons have the financial power to build deep rosters, which was a clear factor in their sweeping performance.
This second consecutive championship not only brings them the lion’s share of the $7 million Club Championship prize pool but also reaffirms their dominance in global esports. It’s a statement of intent and a legacy in motion.
